I left traditional matted albums behind a long, long time ago. Instead, I tend to favour the digital albums with the images printed directly onto the page. This method ensures I have full control over the look and style of the album, and the layout is exactly as I wish it to be.

This was a very straightforward brief for the Live Magazine group. Just some basic images to go with a road test of the latest incarnation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don’t do basic. If I’m asked to photograph an item, be it a simple box or a brand new car, I will give each the attention they deserve.
I have to say, I do like vehicle photography. Possibly a tug from my younger days perhaps, but all the same, it’s always enjoyable. There can be a number of challenges, such as reflection on the paintwork, chrome or glass. In fact, there tends to be little on a vehicle that won’t reflect!
Not all corporate headshots need to be stuffy and boring, particularly if they are to reflect the companies ethics or approachability. One of the quickest ways to erect a barrier between a company and its clients is to have a “stuffy” portrait that doesn’t really give the company a human face, more a guard dog or security look.
