Lakeside Sunset at Clevely Mere

There’s nothing I like better than being able to provide something a little bit special for my brides and grooms. This is Nicola and Tony on their wedding day. A couple that flew in from Australia for their wedding at Clevely Mere. Believe me, it was a lot of fun!

Wedding Venue Brochure Photography – Park Hall Hotel

When I do a brochure shoot for a wedding venue, I encourage the venue to include the suppliers who support the venue in their weddings and development. This particular assignment was for Park Hall Hotel, part of the Lavender and Best Western group. The wedding cars in this instance were supplied by Malvern Wedding Cars, a superb company I have dealt with regularly over several

Hand Made Wedding Albums

I left traditional matted albums behind a long, long time ago. Instead, I tend to favour the digital albums with the images printed directly onto the page. This method ensures I have full control over the look and style of the album, and the layout is exactly as I wish it to be.

Preston Marriott

This assignment was for a number of clients, including the Preston Marriott Hotel, Zoe Cookson (importer of couture wedding gowns) and Live Magazines. It also afforded me the opportunity to test the new Lencarta Safari Li-on location lighting equipment, which is the latest version of my own location lighting workhorse, the Safari Classic.

A Parasol at Twilight

This image is from the last part of the informal portrait session I tend to do, between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. I’d gotten some nice backlit shots with the Lencarta Safari, but wanted a change of tack.

Sunkissed at Belmont, Bolton

This is a technique I’d been wanting to use for some time, and just wasn’t presented with the opportunity. Either the weather wasn’t right, or the background wasn’t good, or the image just wasn’t going to suit the couple. However, this time it all fell into place. And the irony of it is, I had the right weather, backdrop and suitable couple only two weeks

Pendle Bridal Shoot

The bride had one particular request when I met the couple six months before the wedding. There was no room for bartering or negotiation, it had to be adhered to. They both wanted a portrait with Pendle Hill in the background.

Farington Lodge – After Dark

March is a nice time of year for weddings, as the nights haven’t started to stretch out yet, and the possibilities afforded by the early twilight are superb for a bit of fun   🙂 Farington Lodge in Leyland is a well established and rather popular venue, with rather nice grounds. The early darkening skies meant I could light Gemma and have the hotel in the

Portfolio Shoot for Catherine Boden

I had been asked to provide a portfolio for Catherine Boden of Glamourise, who’s a rather high flying makeup artist and stylist who works in the film industry. She also provides a wedding makeup and styling service to ‘A’ list celebrities and other high level clients. Incidentally, this was also to be the inaugural shoot for the studio. Considering the client, models, subject and target
